I love a good Pirate story.

Beauty and the Beast on the high seas. Love this story. I will be following this author and see what books she has in the future.

Pirates meet Beauty and the Beast

I loved the idea of pirates mixed with Beauty and the Beast. This journey across the ocean and all the magic in-between made for a really great story. Hollie did a great job narrating, but for me there wasn't enough differences between the voices, because at times I would lose track of who was speaking.

Promising New Series?

I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Paulina Woods is a new author to me. I was instantly captivated by the twist on this fairy tale. Beauty is looking for a home for herself and her motley crew. She encounters a variety of obstacles that would dissuade the average person. I think this book may be the beginning to an exciting and captivating series. I look forward to finding out where are the two missing friends are and why have they not yet returned.

A new twist on a tale as old as time.

When Beauty is a lusty privateer, rather than a doe-eyed, bookworm, you just KNOW this is going to be an adventure you can't put down! A fun, exciting, and engaging story, coupled with one of my favorite narrators, Beauty's Beast is one of my favorite new romances this year. Honestly, I was starting to get burnt out on romance, but books like this breathe new life and adventure into the genre.

Imagination Abounds

What did you love best about Beauty's Beast?

What an imaginitve story! I loved the strong female lead (a pirate!) and her best friend, also a strong woman. The story was fast-paced and full of action. There was a bit of romance too, which I loved.

What other book might you compare Beauty's Beast to and why?

It was like Beauty and the Beast meets Pirates of the Caribbean. Seriously. It was aswesome.

What about Hollie Jackson’s performance did you like?

She did a great job making each character sound different and believable. She had good pacing and had a great deadpan way of delivering on some dryly humerous parts. She made the story really enjoyable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed outloud to myself several times, and even though I listened to this while alone in the car, I even went, "Awww," a time or two at touching moments.

Any additional comments?

I will be listening to more of Paulina Woods. She is an author to watch.

Fantastic

They storyline was amazing and so sweet. The feelings between the main characters were realistic and something that I could actually feel between them. The narration was good and easy listen to and her voice truly made the characters came alive.
