Publisher's Summary

Once upon a time there was a beautiful college student...

Erin cleans Mr. Morris's house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she can't help but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual feelings.

And a beastly professor with scars he can't hide...

Blake Morris knows he's scarred both inside and out. He's reclusive and surly. Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his house.

He receives an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his chance to reenter the world - and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.

Author's Note: This book was previously published as a serial in multiple parts, including Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty. They've been collected into this volume and revised for new listeners.

Beauty and The Professor is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.

Retelling of a fairytale done right

This is by far the best retelling of Beauty And The Beast I’ve heard in a very long time.

It’s dirty, it’s forbidden, it’s additive from minute one. I’m only upset that college wasn’t like this for me. The thing about Skye Warren is with her writing style she can take a story you know and still knock you on your butt. I’ll just be over here white knuckling my wait til the next book.

I would recommend this to fans of fairytales, erotic fiction, hot professors, people that already know Skye Warren is the Queen and people that still need to meet her writing.

This book WILL melt your kindle

This book starts out hot and heavy. There is no foreplay, they just get right to business. It is not until a few chapters in that the characters are described Once that description begins, there is no way to out down this book. Blake is so hard to like at first, but once his back story unfolds, you cannot help but to fall in love with him. Erin is sweet and just trying to work her way through school. She does not want any hand outs or favors. I like her strong personality. This story really fills with drama when an ex-girlfriend returns. There is not many winks at the original story, but Beauty and the Professor has a life of its own. It is a great story with an ending that will leave you needing more.

Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola narrate this story. Mr. Dexter is an amazing Blake. He completely brings Blake to life exactly as I imagined him. Mr. Dexter is able to narrate Erin with the same enthusiam. Those hot scenes were even hotter with his narration! No matter what Lia Langola narrates, it is amazing. Ms Langola does not disappoint in this story. Lia narrates Erin exactly as I imagined her. Ms Langola brings out her determination and strength. Ms Langola's sultry voice is perfect for Blake I really enjoyed the duet narration. The narration enhanced the experience of the story.

Great Read

Beauty and the Professor (A Modern Fairy Tale Duet) was a great read by Skye Warren. Erin answered an ad to clean Blake's house twice a week in order to pay her college tuition. Blake is an ex-soldier who became a recluse after a war time injury. Things get serious for them as Blake receives an offer to be an associate professor. I absolutely loved listening to Blake and Erin's story. I can't wait to read more by Skye Warren.

Sweet romance with lots of steam

Listened to the audio and both narrators did a good job. There was a female for the female POV chapters and a male narrator for the male POV chapters. A good listening experience.

The story is really sweet and I like how the romance starts fairly quickly. They are honest about their feelings and go after what they want. Erin and Blake have great chemistry and I love the depth of passion they feel. There’s a lot of intimate scenes, which I didn’t mind, but a little more character development would’ve been good. Erin cleans Blake’s house, he’s a wounded military man that is about 15 years older than Erin and Erin is a graduate student who’s in her last semester at school. They start a relationship, but then Blake ends up being her professor for the last class she needs. At first they handled it good, but then they started letting fears and perceived notions of what’s right get in the way, so I did become a bit disappointed in their weak choices. There’s also a nasty ex involved, why does the guy always love the vapid stuck-up woman before he meets the heroine? Stupid boys, lol. So blind! Anyway, I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the next book!

Forbidden Story!

This is the first book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. This is a forbidden story, and an erotic retelling of Beauty And The Beast. The story, and the characters, are interesting, I would love to listen to the next book in the duet. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a great narration. #AudiobookObsession

Looking forward to book 2!

I tell ya, there’s nothing quite like a Skye Warren story! She gives us these delicious and forbidden storylines! My naughty heart cannot get enough! The Beauty and the Professor was a fun and fantastic modern twist. It kind of gave it this feel of today while still making it sexy AF (odd I know since I’m mentioning a twist on a fairytale). Erin is a fighter… she works hard for what she wants. Blake is gruff and hard. He’s got scars… inside and out.

I really love Stephen Dexter’s narration. I find he performs strong men really well especially when they have a bit of a soft spot for his woman. Lia Langola was a great Erin. She’s also strong in voice. They both show emotion and heart so perfectly. I can’t wait for the second book!!

Wonderful story

Except for a cliffhanger it’s a story filled with emotions and I very much enjoyed it.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of meaningful dialogues
The characters is developed in to realistic personalities and I feel connected to them in the end of this story
Love scenes is intense and beautifully described

Narrators:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. The male narrator has a tendency of raising his voice in the more intense scenes and that is challenging listening to. Otherwise it’s all good.

I recommend this story if you like strong characters with some personal challenges and a couple with sizzling chemistry

More...more....I need more!

Beauty and the Professor is not what I expected. What I expected was the same old cookie cutter story paralleling Beauty and the Beast. While there is a few similarities, this story is much it's own. Erin is working her way through college as a maid. Blake is a recluse, military vet and between the two, their attraction is explosive. This book heats up immediately. The steam is high, but it's when the story begins to be told that I was hooked. Blake's history is one I have such respect for, and his honor and intelligence is what made me fall for him. He is damaged, but not so much that he can't be healed. Erin is young, but full of spunk. I think she proves that maturity isn't always part of age. Add in the job of professor, the student, and Blake's old girlfriend Meredith and we get some real sparks flying. The story is rich and hot and the cliffhanger has left me watching for the second part of this duet to release.

Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola are an amazing team. For this, Dexter is cast perfectly. Blake is a grouchy man, a little bitter and needs some attention. Dexter uses his voice to give us that growlie, scarred vet, a slightly feel sorry for himself tone and makes you sympathize with him. He can turn the heat on and add a little alpha sound when he is adding the steam too! Langola easily voices Erin. The strong, independent student with compassion and love comes through with the inflections of her voice. They compliment each other well and really bring this modern fairy tale to life.
