Publisher's Summary

Once upon a time there was a beautiful college student...

Erin cleans Mr. Morris's house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she can't help but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual feelings.

And a beastly professor with scars he can't hide...

Blake Morris knows he's scarred both inside and out. He's reclusive and surly. Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his house.

He receives an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his chance to reenter the world - and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.

Author's Note: This book was previously published as a serial in multiple parts, including Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty. They've been collected into this volume and revised for new listeners.

Beauty and The Professor is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.

This book WILL melt your kindle

This book starts out hot and heavy. There is no foreplay, they just get right to business. It is not until a few chapters in that the characters are described Once that description begins, there is no way to out down this book. Blake is so hard to like at first, but once his back story unfolds, you cannot help but to fall in love with him. Erin is sweet and just trying to work her way through school. She does not want any hand outs or favors. I like her strong personality. This story really fills with drama when an ex-girlfriend returns. There is not many winks at the original story, but Beauty and the Professor has a life of its own. It is a great story with an ending that will leave you needing more.

Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola narrate this story. Mr. Dexter is an amazing Blake. He completely brings Blake to life exactly as I imagined him. Mr. Dexter is able to narrate Erin with the same enthusiam. Those hot scenes were even hotter with his narration! No matter what Lia Langola narrates, it is amazing. Ms Langola does not disappoint in this story. Lia narrates Erin exactly as I imagined her. Ms Langola brings out her determination and strength. Ms Langola's sultry voice is perfect for Blake I really enjoyed the duet narration. The narration enhanced the experience of the story.

Retelling of a fairytale done right

This is by far the best retelling of Beauty And The Beast I’ve heard in a very long time.

It’s dirty, it’s forbidden, it’s additive from minute one. I’m only upset that college wasn’t like this for me. The thing about Skye Warren is with her writing style she can take a story you know and still knock you on your butt. I’ll just be over here white knuckling my wait til the next book.

I would recommend this to fans of fairytales, erotic fiction, hot professors, people that already know Skye Warren is the Queen and people that still need to meet her writing.

Loved it!

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairy tales, and Skye Warren did a fabulous job in this modern day telling of it.

Erin is a college student and cleans houses to help make her way through school. Blake is ex military and has become a recluse because of an injury in his last tour that has left his face and body scarred. Blake hires Erin to clean his house....

After Erin and Blake form somewhat of a HOT, casual relationship, Blake ends up being one of Erin’s professors. Student and hot professor, what’s not to love??

The narration was on point! Steven Dexter as Blake is brilliant. He really brought Blake’s character to life. Lia Langola is amazing as Erin.

This is book 1 in the duet

Steamy and erotic

This tale is more than just steamy and erotic though it is amazingly vulnerable too. I love this story of two people imperfect people helping each other overcome their insecurities. But will their newfound relationship be able to survive when real life intrudes. Can’t wait to start the next one. This had a great dual narration.

Hot Steamy Teacher/Military Man

The book was a great read, although some parts were a little over the top and some were hard to follow... the narrators at parts seems like there were embarrassed to read the over the top parts and could hear it in their voice.. over all it was a great quick read, but the way it dropped off at the end was crappy! For no more then what’s in the second book, it would be better combined

Deep!

This book was amazing. It was deep and racked real issues and how love is so much more than the superficial.

Narration was good. And there was some graphic scenes. Very intense.

Modern Day Fairytale

This was not one of my favorites by Skye Warren, however, it was still good. After listening to other by the author I have high standards 😛. This is a first book in a duet so make sure you are ready to listen to book 2 as a follow up. About a college student/maid who falls for her client who becomes her professor. He is scarred by war and feels unloveable. Good start to a story. @audioobsession

The book was better

I read this book first and enjoyed it. First the theme was something I enjoy. I had a hard time with the male narration. I think if it was different I would have enjoyed it more. The female voice for Erin was great. Overall the story was something o would recommend as a book only

My Thoughts on Beauty and the Professor

Finishing the story I was hit by a few things at once. Number one was that I remember now why I hate duets when both parts aren't out. Of course I don't really "hate" them, I just honestly think if I had to wait for book two after the ending to this story I might have gone crazy.

But that leads me to another thing that hit me. Skye Warren is a fantastic author. The words she crafted in this story absolutely drew me in, and had me hanging on every word. I was so completely wrapped up in these characters, and the more I learned about them the more I loved them. I feel like this book kind of gave me everything and of course I appreciated and loved the nod to the classic fairytale. But there was obviously romance and so much passion in the story. There were two amazing leading characters and a couple of pretty decent secondary characters. There was just this great storyline to have me completely hooked and not wanting to put the story down.

And then there was that darn ending. The kind of ending that has your jaw on the floor, you want to throw whatever device you're reading/listening on and at the same time your mind ia blown by just how much you actually loved the story.

I also can't say enough about the narrators for this story Lia Langola has been a favorite of mine for a while and I never hesitate to listen to a new story that she's narrating. Stephen Dexter is a newer narrator to me but I definitely intend to listen to more. He was like the perfect Beast/Professor in this story for me. I felt like his voice was exactly what I would have imagined the Beast to sound like in any retelling of Beauty and the Beast. And I'm just amazed at how perfectly suited he was. Now I am off to start book two because I absolutely need to know how this fantastic story ends.

Nice Twist on a Classic

The author does a great job of writing plenty of emotion and giving us a nice steamy little twist on a classic. I liked the characters; they fit well together, have great chemistry and are well written. I enjoyed the story a lot but didn't really relate to the student/professor dynamic.

I've listened to this narrator duo before and loved them, but they just continue to impress me. They are well matched and do a fabulous job of bring out the chemistry between these characters. Great performances.

Student/Teacher + retelling + steam = THIS BOOK!

Holy moly guacamole!!! Okay, first off. This book was sooo steamy! I don't even know where to begin with this book. I have been wanting another student/teacher romance for a while now. I am a SUCKER for a good retelling. So this hit it on the nail. It satisfied my desires in what I wanted. Though, now I am left wanting to see how they get past everything they are faced with. This does end in a cliffhanger so keep that in mind. But I listened to it in one sitting and I have no doubt the same will happen for the sequel. I am excited and nervous to go down the hill of this roller coaster!

Hot!

Oh. My. Wow.
This is one of the steamiest books I’ve read/listened to this year. It is so hot! Be prepared to take breaks and have a handy set of backup panties.
It does end in a semi-cliffhanger and I highly recommend.

Reviewed for Audiobook Obsession

Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter are the narrators in Skye Warren’s modern day spin on the popular fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. This story is hot, steamy, naughty, forbidden with angst and strong characters you will love, they touch your heart and you want to root for them to find a way. The author however has left the story with a cliffhanger and I will anxiously await the conclusion and hope for an HEA.

Quite average tbh.

I’ve read a lot of Skye Warren books, and she writes some great stories, but sometimes I feel like the presence of a secret sinister plot line can overshadow the overall story and she can get lost in it. This one was no different. I loved the beginning, but towards the end when you expect some loose ends to be tied up, it didn’t and maybe that’s why I rated it a bit lower.

Beauty and the Professor

It is so hard for me to leave a review without making any spoilers. I must say that these two definitely had some obstacles to overcome that will keep you on your toes. The way it ended has me absolutely listening to the next asap! Great book with just as great narration.

Realistic peek of the realities of war and University

Realistic peek of the realities of war and life of both students and Professors in the world. I devoured this book all at once and hope part two is done and waiting ❣️

Can’t wait for the next book to see if Erin and Blake get their much deserved HEA. My fingers are crossed for them.

Fantastic narration from both Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola.

Now is book two available right now?

Not my tea

Although this book was sexy and well written, it just wasn’t my cup of tea, I like books with sexual tension, a build up to the big show, this book was straight up wham bam thank you mam, the narrators were great but this book wasn’t for me
