In her story, Rhonda makes it very evident that our pain can lead us to people who can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to help us along the road to healing. Furthermore, God doesn't waste our pain because he takes what is broken and makes it into a beautiful work of art. It is only by being Beautifully Broken that Rhonda has learned to minister to those who have the same hurts, fears, and dreams. Her goal is to help people who are on a similar road to find their way to being Beautifully Broken.

Wow! Overcoming Adversity Through God

This was a good, yet at times hard to listen to story. It's the author, Rhonda Marie Stalb's own story of growing up with abuse and having that continuous cycle manifest throughout her young adult life and while raising a family. I'm very happy that she's found peace through God's love and wisdom.

Andrea Emmes does a terrific job telling the author's story. She really put her heart and soul into it. She's very versatile as a narrator and one of my faves.

Where does Beautifully Broken: My Journey to a Mended Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a very good book. I was surprised so many times while listening. I truly didn't expect the extreme heartbreak that this woman had to endure. She is a hero for being able to overcome so much and still be able to praise the lord for the good in her life. Amazing!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautifully Broken: My Journey to a Mended Heart?

I don't think it was just one moment in the book. I didn't read about the book before hand so the entire book was one big shocking surprise after another for me. I thought I was good to cry at different times and cheer at others.

Which scene was your favorite?

When her second husband came to ask her for her hand in marriage. That was a man truly in love with her and her children.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too many to list. This book is hard on the heart strings. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a true story that follows much heart break and has a triumphant ending.

Any additional comments?

The narrator is amazing this is 1 of 4 books I've listened to narrated by her. She really does bring a book to life for the listener. She is amazing.

A Wonderful Testimony But Hard Topics

The story of a woman's life from sin to salvation, heartbreak to truelove and finding forgiveness for unforgivable sins and ask. This is exactly as the title describes.

This is also a first-hand account of a woman's life from childhood. While it was hard to listen to because of some of the subject matter, it was worth it to hear Rhonda M Stalb's testimony.

Andrea Emmes gave a solid performance. Everything was from the authors perspective so there was not an opportunity for her to show her range. I know from other books Andrea Emmes has narrated that she has an incredible range.

Note: I would warn anyone who is considering this book, there are descriptions of child abuse in a sexual manner. It is uncomfortable to listen to but the author framed them in a delicate manner.
