Story
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Story
The first collection of stories Stephen King has published since Nightmares & Dreamscapes nine years ago, Everything's Eventual includes one O. Henry Prize winner, two other award winners, four stories published by The New Yorker, and "Riding the Bullet", King's original e-book, which attracted over half a million online readers and became the most famous short story of the decade. Intense, eerie, and instantly compelling, they announce the stunningly fertile imagination of perhaps the greatest storyteller of our time.

Maybe it was ok?….
So…why virtual? Is it because of cost of narrators? I think the stories were ok, but I never realized how much you rely on tone, pitch, etc to bring an audio book to life until you listen to a virtual one. I got thru 2 of the stories but had to give it up. The only good thing was that the book was “free.”

AI Narration is Horrible
I couldn't concentrate on what was happening in each story, nor could I tell when it switched from one story to another. The AI narration is horrible, having no intonations, inflection or change of any sort when different characters were speaking.
