Publisher's Summary

On the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, in the small town of Emerald Isle... Juli Cooke, hard-working and getting nowhere fast, marries a dying man, Ben Bradshaw, for a financial settlement, not expecting he will set her on a journey of hope and love. The journey brings her to Luke Winters, a local art dealer, but Luke resents the woman who married his sick friend and warns her not to hurt Ben - and he's watching to make sure she doesn't - until Ben dies and the stakes change. Framed by the timelessness of the Atlantic Ocean and the brilliant blue of the beach sky, Juli struggles against her past, the opposition of Ben's and Luke's families, and even the living reminder of her marriage - to build a future with hope and perhaps to find the love of her life - if she can survive the danger from her past.

Kindness does have its own reward

If truth is stranger than fiction I would love to experience the truth behind this story. Kindness and caring bring comfort and company to one and a new life to others. Lush descriptions, believable characters and situations. An excellent read.

An unusual contract

Two people from different backgrounds, different social positions, meet and make an unusual pact. The man needs a companion for a short time. The woman wants to better her life. The audio voice is excellent! The story is quite unique.

Beach Rental is a fun story.

Entertaining yet somewhat predictable. Not a complex storyline but interesting characters and fun descriptive writing. A good "beach" tale!

Don’t bother

I truly did not like anything about this book. The writing was simplistic, the story unrealistic and the narration didn’t help improve on the problems in the book. Don’t waste your time on this one.

Good story, but...

I like the story but it could have been written much better and definitely narrated much better.

Super romance story

Looking for amazing author. One as good as Danielle Steel. Grace Greene is the one who filled that and now I’m hooked!!

Very Disappointed!

This book is very poorly written. The characters are flat, the story line was predictable and not to mention the narator! I could barely tolerate her. Worst audible book I've ever listened to. I wish I would have given up on this book early on. What a waste of time.
