This book will change you for the better!

I have read many, many Catholic books, and this one tops them all for me. It truly struck a chord with me and has helped me to find healing in many various areas of my life. I listened once straight through. Then went back and listened again, but stopped in places where he says to reflect or pray and was sure to do those things. The second time through was where I really experienced the big difference although even the first time through I could tell my heart was becoming opened and was changing.

The narration was great! I could hear the enthusiasm in his voice and how much he meant every word spoken. I did feel like it was slightly to slow, but no problem...I just increased the playback speed by .15. I have already recommended this book to a ton of people that I know.

Must read and listen and then read.

I think I will go back and read it again after listening to it this time.

Good Listen

I appreciated and valued listening to the considerations in this book. The testimonials of the power prayer has to heal were quite astonishing and beautiful! Glory to God!
I've got a lot of prayer time to do so I can have growth in my Faith with these kinds of beautiful healings!
My only pet peeve was that the narrator included. Every. Single. Citation. Definitely kinda interrupted the narrative a little.

Love the examples, and the narrative linked to scriptures. This book is inspiring, and gives us hope, we all may have a hurt that God can healed.

It is inspiring and reveals how God reaches us in our brokenness

I have worked in healthcare for nearly three decades and am a Catholic. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been in therapy and who has sought healing from their wounds and sinful patterns. God is the healer. Therapy and medication are instruments in the healing process, but God remains the healer. The author uses his own story and that of others to reveal how Christ meets us in our brokenness and walks with us on the path of healing. His stories were relatable, hopeful, and inspiring. My only struggle was getting used to the narrator’s presentation of the book. It took me a few chapters to move beyond how distracting the way he read the book. For me, it was though he used an explanation point at the end of almost every sentence. It was though he highlighted or emphasized most sentences. I’m glad I listened to the entire book. As the author mentions, we will judge a tree by it’s fruits, the tree of knowledge of good and evil or from the tree of life. We can judge this book by it’s fruits. It is quite fruitful leading to Christ, the Tree of Life, having a personal encounter with Christ in our wounds, and discovering how much we are love by Him, our healer.
