How do you sue your fairy godmother?

Cassandra Swann is about to find out. Because she and her sisters are one-eighth fairy - not enough to do any magic - just enough to get them a fairy godmother from hell whose reckless spells make their lives miserable. When her older sister decides to take the FG to court, Cass gets caught in the crossfire. Hit by their godmother with a disastrous birthday wish, she is in danger of losing what she loves most: her ability to paint.

Because the court is in the realm of the fae, Cass and her sisters have a court-appointed elf who acts as their attorney slash bodyguard. But who ever heard of a six-foot-four, muscular elf with coal black hair and intense green eyes? Sparks fly the first minute Cass meets Jacobin O'Shea. She resents his high-handed ways, and Jake thinks Cass is a spoiled human brat. But after he saves her from a soul-sucker and sees her art, things begin to change between them.

But Cass' ability to paint is still screwed up. Every painting she attempts climbs off the canvas and makes trouble in the real world. When the fae court assigns her a new fairy godmother, things get exponentially worse when her new wish multiplies her living art. To make matters even more difficult, Jake's ex-fiancée - a gorgeous, anorexically thin fairy - has Cass in her crosshairs and is determined to ruin anything that might grow between them. And did we mention Cass' grandmother is going on disastrous dates that fill the house with Star Trek conventioneers, bikers, and nudists?

It's a mess only magic could make...or fix.

Will Cass and Jake ever get past their differences? Will Cass regain her ability to paint without every painting stepping off the canvas? (Really, fairy godmother?) And will Cass' grandmother find a man without burning down the house?

You'll have to listen to Be Careful What You Wish For, the second audiobook in the Swann Sisters Chronicles, to find out.

Bibbity Bobbity Boo!

I liked this book better than the first, this book gave us more of a glance of the fairy world and it is crazy. Are all the fairy’s, nincompoops? None of them know how to do a job, but the ruckus that entails is fun. The only down fall was the fact that the heroine had a boyfriend. I’m just not a fan of cheating, no matter how necessary the author makes it or how jerky the boyfriend may be. I look forward to the next sister’s story. I have a feeling it won’t turn out at all like I think it will. Narrator is good, I enjoyed her story telling.

Fantastic Story!

I love this series. The first book was great, this is just as good if not a bit better. I laughed out loud in places. Ms. Anderson does a wonderful job of inserting humor in these books, while keeping the love story going! I can not wait for the third book and can only imagine what will be in the story. Still the latest Fairy Godmother was better than the first. Makes you look at fairy godmothers in a whole new light! I definitely reccomend this series.

Can anyone say Deja vu??

I love Evangeline writing and I haven’t met a book of hers I didn’t like. It’s a plus that she is always writing about my neck of the woods (Tampa Florida). However, as much as I liked this book, it reminded me too much of Sophia and Sylvan’s story. They started off not liking each other and at odds with each other. Then something happens and the best way to fix it is with intimacy. Her feelings begin to change gradually. The jilted ex. The different worlds and cultures. And finally hard won love wins out. I’m not going to say I didn’t enjoy this book because I did. I just wished it had a more original plot.

All about Jake

I can’t stand a female character that is unnecessarily rude and obnoxious; but Jake knew how to deal with her nasty disposition, you gotta love him 😏. Storyline was interesting and had it’s moments that were lol funny 😂. Mackenzie did a fantastic job with all characters. Looking forward to more books Evangeline!

this one, not so much

The lead character was unpalatable and the writing repetitive but the plot had enough twists and turns to keep me going, reluctantly. Ms. Cartwright does her best but is hampered by an unlikable heroine and some unwieldy writing.

What a great story!!

I definitely recommend this book it was a joy to listen to. The author is one of my favorite ,she has a wonderful imagination and I still haven’t figured out how she comes up with some of these stories. The narrator does a great Job with each of the characters! This is a must read book!!
