Publisher's summary

All he wants is peace.

All he finds is war.

Marcus Battle is a wanted man. No matter where he goes or what he does, he can't escape those who aim to kill him.

But as he fights off one would-be vigilante after another, a new threat emerges. It's a threat worse than the viral Scourge which plunged his world into a dystopian nightmare and it could give rise to second apocalypse.

Can Marcus fend off the coming attacks or will he finally fall prey to an enemy he won't see coming?

I love this series

Marcus Battle is man driven by righteousness. Lost 2 families, his home, and his friends.
A very capable nemesis of the wicked. A defender against ruthless bandits and government thugs alike.
Similar to Deputy Raines in the Survivalist series, only tortured by his need to avenge.

I Couldn't Put It Down

All he wants is peace.  All he finds is war. This might be one of the best opening lines I've read for a synopsis ever - and it fits this book and story so well.

I'm unsure if this is the last book in The Traveler Series (at least for Battle), but it was a great way to clean up some of the loose ends. I want to write more - but I don't want to spoil the story for anyone who's gotten 5 books deep in the series so far.

As with the last book, I loved Battle and Lou's stories, connection, and interaction. Lou is such a great character I'm glad that Abrahams is giving her, her own book for book 6 of the series.  I finished Battle and instantly jumped into Legacy because I wanted to know exactly what he was going to write for/about her.

As with all reviews - I don't want to give much up, but their interaction, especially in the middle (sheriff) and the end were intimate and real.  I love Abrahams for it.  It's just nice to feel like you're reading about real people and not just characters.

Also, the inclusion of more about the Scourge had me perked up.  I want to know more and more about it and I was given a slight taste in this book. It just makes me wonder what a bio-thriller book by Abrahams would look like (though this is borderline in some of the stories).

Overall, I thought that Battle was a great book with great stories in it.  I loved every minute of it and literally finished it in an afternoon. I couldn't put it down. Kevin Pierce's narration was perfect as it's been for the rest of this series. It fits perfectly with Battle's character. I requested a copy of this book for review - it has not affected my opinion in any way.

Tom Abrahams best yet !!!

Absolutely outstanding writing. Abrahams has taken this skill to a whole new level. His colorful in-depth character evolution along with realistic internal struggles completely drew me in. Mad Max meets Wyatt Earp. At times I was so " in " the story I couldn't put its down. In my opinion Abrahams is up there with the likes of Louis Lamour.

Please tell me there is a book 7 coming!

This has been one of my favorite series of books of ever listened to. The characters are so colorful and the main character breaks your heart, makes you want to salute him and you fall in love with the good man that he is. He's so sad, & has lost so much in his life, & it would be wonderful to make just 1 more bk on Marcus Battle with a happy ending for him. I pray the author does! HIGHLY reccomend all in this series!

As far as the east is from the west...

So far has Tom Abrahams has set himself apart from other authors again in the genre. Not the blaspheme and misquote scripture in the last sentence, but Battle is a great book and a great addition for the namesake character. If you read this you won’t be disappointed, and you won’t want to stop listening. I look forward to Legacy.

great story

I very much enjoyed being apart of Battles journey. He went through so much pain and loss but learned to re love. I hope that maybe some day he returns. I was sad for Lou cuz I know she didn't want this. Hoping for another book not ready to let go.

Please End This Series

I was a fan of the first four, but this one was a chore to get through. I no longer cared about the characters or the nameless bad guys that came to kill our heroes. This series had been enjoyable and had a good run, but I think it's time to pull the plug.
