Exciting and steamy enemies to lovers romance!

What an exciting and steamy enemies to lovers romance. Ariana DeLuca is an undercover FBI agent, going undercover to get information about the Romano family. She starts working for Bastiano Romano, and the sparks fly immediately! Bastiano is rude and mean and Ariano fights him at every turn. They can't believe how much they both love the push/pull between them and their banter is their foreplay leading to some very hot passion. But as they get to know each other, they realize how similar they are. They both feel lost and adrift, not knowing who they are, but they see each other soul deep. But they are both keeping secrets that could break their trust and put both their lives in danger. This was a thrilling and steamy story with heartpounding twists and turns that kept me engaged from start to finish. My heart broke for both Ariana and Bastiano as they tried to move past expectations to find their way to each other. I especially loved the twist at the end.
Narrators Kylie Stewart, and DC Cole did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. Stewart nailed Ariana's sassy, independent, yet vulnerable personality. Cole showed the transformation of the cold, and domineering Bastiano finding trust and love again. I enjoyed both their performances as they made this story even better.

Fantastic romantic suspense!

Oh my! Parker S Huntingon, I don't know how you do it, but every book in this series is so good! Every emotion, so much action, and the narration! The absolute best! Ariana DeLuca is an undercover FBI agent, sent into the Romano family to take them down. Little did she know that once she started her infiltration that she would fall for the dark prince, Bastiano Romano. Talk about a bully! This man has it down, but he has met his match with Ariana. The problem lies in the fact that as these two are at each other's throats, their feelings grow. This causes a whole new problem! After all, Ariana isn't who she says she is. She has more than one secret and when revealed, it could end in her demise. This is a fantastic, action packed, slow burn love story, pulling in our favorite characters from the previous books and giving one of the best anti-heroes I have had the pleasure of falling for. Huntington also adds in the feeling of family with kids and cooking, as well as sage advice from the experienced. I loved every minute of this book!

How could it be better you ask? Give it fantastic narrators! DC Cole is one of my all time favorite narrators, and as Bastiano, he pulls off that arrogant, alpha male with a broken side that is impossible not to love! He is a master a emotions and pulls off the feels through this strong willed man. Kylie Stewart has the pleasure of playing Ariana, and she has so many sides to this woman. From mafia daughter, to FBI agent, she holds in the secrets and with her voice is able to keep the feelings evident and real. Plus there is a cameo! I am not saying who shows up, but it's a wonderful surprise! This is a fantastic listen and if you love mafia romance, go grab it!

Excellent story

Part of The Five Syndicates and oh so addictive. It was so good and held my attention the entire time. Great storytelling and plot. Amazing narration. Loved every word.

Another great addition to the Series!

This is the fourth book in The Five Syndicates Series, a Mafia Romance. I love this book and this Series. Bastiano and Ariana's story is so great. This is an excellent slow burn enemies to lovers romance, passionate, and entertaining, filled with secrets, danger, and twists and turns. The characters are well developed, strong, and complex. The storyline is captivating. D.C. Cole and Kylie Stewart did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life. I like Parker S. Huntington's writing. I highly recommend this series.

It's about time

For years I wondered why all of The Five Syndicates had an audiobook except for Bastiano, and finally....finally here it is. I LOVED the book, but the performance/narration was not great. To me it just seemed like they read the book and no real emotions/feelings. Also, there were several misreading of the book (Chapter 26 at 21:45 minutes it says, "tell me you want me" and the book says, "tell me what you want", chapter 27 at 7:33 minutes it says, "that's all the favor you want" and the book says, " that's the favor you want", just to name a few).

A Difficult Listen

Not sure I completely appreciate a good narrator... until I listen to bad ones. This could have been a good story, had to put it down so many times, not wanting to finish. Female sounded 12, the male sounded 50. But the worst was the inflection they put on words, so very off! Pronounced "dinn't" for didn't through the entire book, and it wasn't in character. Not worth a credit
