Publisher's summary

In this epic culmination of the series, Cleve returns to Greenedge in hopes of keeping the war from reaching his homeland. But he never expected what's happened in his absence. The four kings have been killed by an emerging army, displacing Jek and the Takarys - Cleve's only trusted allies. Desperate to find them, he turns to the very man responsible for their absence. Meanwhile, Jek faces the toughest challenge of his life when his king is murdered and he's forced to flee the land he's sworn to protect. Now with five armies at war, Jek struggles to understand who he should be fighting against, especially when his old friend Cleve is seen marching with known enemies. Whatever Jek decides, it had better be soon. The green fog of desmarls covers more of the continent each day. The man-eating monsters grow hungry, and their muscle far exceeds any of the five armies at war.

Great ending to the series.

I'm just happy there are more series after this one. BTnarro did a wonderful job writing this series.

A really cool world hes built

I really enjoyed how this world works and while ive had my issues with a couple of the characters. I overall really enjoyed this series. they are all good quick reads with a fast pace and he does a good job of making the magic prevalent and normal in their culture while also making it clear that there is still a lot for them all to learn. Im excited to read more from this world.

Liked it

Love the story the person reading the story wasn’t the greatest. It was worth the listen.

Horrible narration.

I just can’t stand it! Ruins the entire story. It’s like everyone has the same voice and they all sound stoned and stupid. And the female voice overs are insulting. How does this guy get these gigs? He’s not good at story telling at all. If he just talked normal without the stupid characters he tries to create it would be better. Do narrators even listen to the previous narrations before they create new character voices? They should at least somewhat match.

Narrator ruined it

Really tried to enjoy this series, if I’d read it I would likely have given four or five stars. But of the five books, only two had narrators who didn’t mischaracterize characters, mispronounce words, misread the pacing, or otherwise miss the point of their job. I was taken out of the story by bad narration so many times I couldn’t finish this book. Since the author seems to have no say or no problem with the narrators chosen, I’m likely done reading anything else they write.

One of the worst storylines I have heard

I really wanted to give a good review, but once again the narriation was not good. The story line was terrible. We are expected that a killer of all the kings has honor, aswell as everyone over look his evil and join him. Then for cleave and his friends to throw their honor away by joining him. Just dumb. “It ok that I killed uou father because I will have saved your grandkids” so, unbelievable
