Publisher's summary

When I wake up on the ice planet, I'm scared of everything: This place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I'm going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister.

I'm completely and utterly alone. What's a girl to do?

Well, this girl escapes. Of course, that means I go from frying pan into the fire, and my situation gets even more dangerous.

Just when I have no hope left, a new hero appears. Sure, he's blue, horned, and has a tail. He's also fierce, protective, makes me purr...and thinks I'm perfect. But is what we have real or just a mating instinct?

Contains mature themes.

Book 7 and my favourite so far.

This is book 7 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and while each story stands alone, I recommend they be read in order.

This is Lila and Rokan’s story and it’s my favourite so far. The depth of love and commitment shown in this novel was beautifully intense. It also explored Metlak society a little, and other delightful discoveries on the planet. Additionally, it delved into the importance of communication and independence in a way I found satisfying. Thanks Ruby Dixon!

Audible narrators Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

This series has been a welcome and unexpected boost to my romance listening enjoyment. It just keeps getting better. Not a dull moment.

I recommend this series.

My senses were reeling!

I loved this story and Lila has become one of my favorites. She is so fierce, even without being able to hear, on a strange planet. Rokan is the sweetest and the patience and love in their story was incredible.

Good story, not as spicy

It was good since the main character had a situation that was a little different compared to prior books in the series. Not quite as spicy as others.

Love Those Blue Aliens

I have read the print copies of this series, but the audible versions make the series come alive. Ruby Dixon's books take the reader (listener) to a fascinating world inhabited by hot blue men.

Good storyline!

This audiobook in the Ice Planet Barbarian series has a deaf heroine named Lilah and s Sahkhui named Rokan meeting each other after she’s removed from stasis on the crashed alien ship. Dismayed to find her cochlear implant has been removed, Lilah has little in the way of communication except for her pushy, overprotective sister who is also kidnapped.
After getting their khui, Lilah is stolen away by an over eager tribe member who is hoping for Resonance- which doesn’t happen. When she’s rescued by Rokan from a Metlock cave, they resonate. Can they learn to communicate and find love? Narration was excellent !

Cute!

The story is so predictable at first. But I am amazed at the many turns in the story line. The author is a brilliant artist to create so many possibilities for future books, I cannot wait to start the next one. Yes, the guy and girl seem to always find a way to make heart throbbing love in the end, but this journey was suspensful enough to keep my attention. I am ready to find out what's next :-)

I Need More!!!!!

I am so enjoying this series. Rokan and Lilah are an amazing pair. I love how Rokan is drawn to her immediately and not just after the Khui is given to her. He's so thoughtful that he tries to learn her language and takes her to the Elder's Cave to learn her language from the computer. I really like how dedicated he is to her. I also really like how Lilah's character and personality develops over the time of the book. She goes from being a scared little girl to a strong, somewhat self-sufficient woman. Even with her disability she is determined to learn how to take care of herself. I enjoyed the fact that Rokan was willing to teach her everything instead of acting and treating her like a little woman who belongs in the kitchen with the babies. Well done to the author and narrators on an amazing job. I can't wait for the next book. I think it's going to be about her sister, Maddie. Maddie is going to be tough one, especially since she doesn't want to be stuck on the ice planet.

Maybe….

I may be at the end of my listening for this series. But then maybe I’m not. I can’t decide. This had great potential but some parts of it could have been teased out more. Like the Metloch (of however that is spelled), what happens with it? I’m guessing the series will delve deeper into those creatures. The blue guys might be getting old. Maybe….. okay, one more.
