Publisher's summary

Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I'm one of them. Yay, me. In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a cootie. And my cootie's a jerk, because it also thinks I'm the mate to the biggest, surliest alien of the group.

Great Series!

Really enjoying this crazy, funny, sexy series by Ruby Dixon. This book is the second in the series and I am planning to continue listening to as many as are available. While the setting is kind of crazy, the story itself is so well written that the characters themselves come across as very credible indeed. Well done!

Strong ending...

3.5 stars — Still a total guilty pleasure listen, but I did have a harder time connecting with the MCs in this one…but that’s just personal taste I think.

It took me most of this book to warm up to Liz…and she’s still probably never going to be a favourite of mine. She’s abrasive, rude, sarcastic, and she borders on mean and uncaring. She needs a beat on the head to bring out her empathy. It’s not that I don’t get where she’s coming from, but my poor sensitive heart is just always going to be wary of harsher women like Liz. Which is not to say there’s anything wrong with her, just that I can’t always connect. I did feel for her past, how she missed her Dad, how she was freaking tired of having all her choices taken away. And when she finally figured her shiznit out, I appreciated that she went after what she wanted with a tenacity that knew no bounds.

Raahosh was his own mixed up bag of crazy. But I did appreciate that at least he had reasons for being so…paranoid and possessive. I loved the way he took care of Liz at the beginning, making it doubly hard to watch Liz not give him any credit. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he made some bad choices. But I felt like he held out 5 million olive branches before one was taken.

I really loved the way their relationship turned after a certain tense event, and in the end I couldn’t picture a better match for both of them. They just suited one another to a tee.

This is definitely going to be a fun series to just check in on and devour another one whenever I’m feeling in the mood for something out of the ordinary.

Absolutely Amazing!

I have fallen in love with this series! I love how much the guys protect their strange little humans from not only the environment, but also themselves. I love how Liz and Raahosh butt heads and constantly argue, but eventually realize that they really do love each other and would do anything for each other. I love how Raahosh continued taking care of Liz, even after he got into trouble with the tribe. I also love how they have continued to use the same narrators. I'm hoping they narrate all of the books in the series!

Lol this series is so cute

The “cootie”. I just can’t get over it. She is a bit annoying but I love her reflection on when she is wrong or misunderstands things. The character development is pretty good.

Yay, more Ice Planet Barbarians!

One of my favorite alien abduction series translated from kindle to audio! I’ve been following this series for a few years - it’s what got me buying other Ruby Dixon books.
If you buy any of this genre, I can’t recommend it enough.
The narration was excellent! Loved the combination of Jackson & Lloyd.
More, please!

Liz was going to drive me crazy!!

Liz came off so mean and hateful to me that half was through I was begging her mate to find someone else. I felt so bad for him. and so help me god if she said the word coochie one more time I was going to scream. with that being said, they pulled it together by chapter 5 and I ended up cussing out the cheif and was on liz's side for the rest of the book. still worth the read. this may be my new favorite series!
