Twists and Turns, Surprising Fun"

This book started off strong and only got better. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns that kept coming from unexpected places! Both main characters were well-developed, and I loved seeing how they came together. The coincidences throughout added a lighthearted touch and made me smile. Although it felt a bit drawn out at times, it was worth it to see all the pieces tied together. The narrator did a fantastic job overall, even if there were moments where the tone felt a bit stiff—but it didn’t take away from the story. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more by this author!

Is Author Looking at Series?

Immediately upon reading the intro to this book I had a feeling I would like it. Heck, what's not to like when baking's involved, am I right? Throw in some mystery, the FBI and a couple crime families on top of a love story between ... well I'll let you figure that out, but opposites do attract, and you definitely have me hooked with this book based in Pilpil Bay Oregon.
The back and forth, push and pull comradery was wonderful and I would love another book. It's almost as if this author could be thinking to start a series of some kind, just a thought, or a hope from this reviewer. But over-all a wonderful listen!

The writing is very engaging and makes you want to keep reading. I was so into the story that I got annoyed when I had to stop and do other things!

Personal Reflection:
I really liked "Bake Wars." It is a clean book with no bad words and only a little bit of kissing. It’s perfect for families to read together.

Recommendation:
I recommend "Bake Wars" to anyone who likes fun stories with cookies, romance, and weapons. It’s a great book that everyone can enjoy!

Every character was so distinct and it kept me hooked!! Loved the way the narration brought the story to life!

D. M. Tregaskis wrote an amazing story. Christina Fountain is an amazing narrator. She brought the world of baking wars to life. The plot of the story is engaging, interesting, and humorous. Never know what the two main characters are going to do to each other, so There’s a lot of twist and turns. The baking competition takes forefront , the romance is in the background. In the beginning it’s a love-hate relationship that turns into more. It’s like a Hallmark Channel movie.

Excellent Narration in a Light Fun Romance with some Mystery

Perfect for Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen mysteries. A woman trying to be a better person gets involved with a fragile FBI agent, amongst baking challenges.

Narrator Christina Fountain does an excellent job with crafting a superior performance script and using well defined, believable, script appropriate male and female characterizations.

No graphic sex or offensive language. Family appropriate.
