Story
Welcome to Hell—where nobody can ever quite catch the barman's eye. In this collection, which contains all seven series of Old Harry's Game, get ready for some wicked one-liners and scorching satire. Satan is fed up after a millennia in charge of Hell, especially given the prospect of an eternity still running the damned place. Although he does enjoy playing pranks on the world of the living and devising wry torments for the souls in his keeping, he often wistfully recalls his past as an archangel.

Story
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4, these classic cult comedies sparked a critically-acclaimed BBC TV show that ran for two series between 2002 and 2003. Starring the much-missed Sean Lock, these tower block tales revolve around a sardonic misanthrope who, despite his best efforts, can't seem to keep the world at bay. Holed up in his flat in Elderberry House, he's constantly bothered by friends, neighbours and confused tourists - so he hides microphones all around the block to listen in to the other residents.

Barney and Cathy. Evan and Fiona. David and Alice. Three couples who have beaten the odds and stayed married - but is that simply because they haven’t got around to divorcing yet? In these three series, we follow this group of friends throughout weekends away and tricky date nights, weddings and funerals, Christmas celebrations and counselling sessions - all of which give them plenty of opportunity for flirting, fighting, competitiveness and reprehensible behaviour. We listen in to their innermost thoughts, feelings and motivations as they break the fourth wall.

For three decades, Rupert Hardacre was one of the big beasts of advertising: he worked hard, played hard, and lived hard. But he fell harder. Driven out of every reputable agency in town for drinking all their whiskey and sleeping with all their wives, he used the remains of his fortune to found Hardacre's, the best (and only) advertising agency on the M25. Publisher's summary
All four series of the comedy drama set in Edinburgh, following the lives of three fortysomething best friends
Caroline, Fiona and Ruth are lifelong friends, who've grown up together, laughed and cried together, and stood by each other through thick and thin. They may not always see eye to eye, and they might drive each other crazy, but they can't do without each other.
But life's got a lot more complicated since they were 22, when the only things they carried around were handbags. Now, in midlife, they've got more baggage than the average airport carousel. Caroline's been dumped by her politician husband of 10 years, Alistair; single mother Ruth is struggling with her monosyllabic teenage son; and Fiona's walked out on her husband Roddy - and moved in with Caroline, in her poky top-floor Marchmont flat.
Over the course of several manic Midsummers, crisis-ridden Christmases and hopeful Hogmanays, they grapple with ex-husbands and new lovers; broodiness and babies; divorce, dementia and alcoholism - only to find themselves climbing their biggest mountain yet. Aided by Roddy, Fiona's elderly mum Gladys, and Caroline's larger-than-life dad Hector, they set about forging their own new, strangely shaped, thoroughly 21st Century family...
Written by Hilary Lyon, who also stars as Caroline, this funny, poignant sitcom is a love letter to female friendship - and to one of Europe's loveliest capital cities, Edinburgh. Phyllis Logan and Adie Allen co-star as Fiona and Ruth, with Peter Capaldi and Stuart McQuarrie as Alistair, Robin Cameron as Roddy, June Watson as Gladys and David Rintoul as Hector.

Story
Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Story
The year is 2099 and planet Earth is in crisis. A change in its orbit has resulted in days being 25 hours long (except Thursday, which hasn't existed for over a decade) and the extra months of Janril, Febtober, and Marchuary. In a post-apocalyptic England, the cattle-clasm has wiped out the majority of livestock and climate change has formed the drizzly season of Hamble. However, hope is at hand for the planet in the form of Professor Nebulous.

Polite storyline for a complex situation
I liked the way the story weaved into something that could be real, complicated and misunderstood by most people around it. The actions of the characters may rattle some nerves but this story is just as real as your neighbors' private lives. That's why it was redeeming, in my opinion.
