A handy guide to make your backpacking journey better!

It has become possible for a larger group of people: To travel the entire world with a single backpack, some items, and a limited amount of money. Some people still show off their income when travelling, but even with a low budget, “backpacking” is an affordable, doable way of living. And yes, you can also make money online while doing it.

In this guide, we’ll tell you some of the best ways to:

  • Pack your backpack to maximize space
  • Find the most popular destinations in the world for backpackers
  • Go on a hike, and make sure you don’t get any physical problems
  • Discover if a hostel is for you and which hostels to look for
  • Find better deals on AirBNB and negotiate with the ones who rent their rooms
  • Avoid scams and tourist traps backpackers sometimes come across in different countries
  • Meet other likeminded backpackers you can socialize with
  • Get some photography tips for your trips
  • Make money with your travel blog while travelling

Let’s face it. You could save yourself a lot of trouble, money, and heartache if you know what you’re doing. You might as well learn a little before you take off on your next trip, especially if you have little to no experience.

With this guide, you’ll be one step ahead. So go ahead and listen.

Really Well-written Book !!!

Good information on low impact camping, gear selection, techniques for packing, cooking, walking, even how best to get you pack on and off. Would definitely recommend to all but the most experienced of campers.

WORTH EVERY STAR!!!

A great book for people new to backpacking. I was reminded going through it how many basics there are to backpacking that I learned the hard way. SO MANY BASICS! This book does a great job at covering them in depth in a way that doesn't make you feel dumb and has some humor.

Newbie Backpacker

I've never backpacked before but am in the outdoors every day. This book gave good basic tips on how to choose the right gear, pack a pack, avoid animal encounters (very helpful) and what to do if you get lost.

Step by step

Being a backpacking newbie, I thoroughly enjoyed all the personal insight and gear tips provided in this book. It helped me evaluate and choose the best things for me, and made me feel at ease in my decisions. There is no one right way of doing it. As long as you keep yourself safe and be respectful of the wilderness, it'll be a great adventure!

Well written

The book is in depth enough to get you going but it also stimulates ideas on what topics you may need to explore more in depth depending on your individual knowledge and experience. The authors writing style and humor made this a quick and enjoyable read, both times I went through it.

Great and simple

The book illustrates hiking from beginning to end of the trip, outlines everything you will need to become an expert, and have a successful trip. This book clearly illustrates his devotion to the craft.
