The names of the characters had me lmao! Gertie gets into magical trouble everywhere she goes and it makes for a brilliant story! Melanie James has a great imagination and she writes some of my favorite books. Hollie Jackson is the perfect narrator for Gertie and I love her Irish brogue.

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Tales from the Paranormal Plantation Series written by Melanie James and narrated by Hollie Jackson. Gertie decides to jazz up the Paranormal Plantation with another DIY project. She wants to paint the kitchen a fuchsia color, but when she mixes and uses the paint with a heavy dose of untried witchcraft, creating a strange time warping side effect. The next she realizes her and her paranormal posse land in the court of King Henry VII. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters

The narrator Hollie Jackson did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read/listen to this book. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end.

Melanie James Back to The Fuchsia narrated by Hollie Jackson is a wonderfully fun story about a witch who managed to find mischief everywhere she turns. Hollie does a wonderful job with Gerties Irish accent, as well as the other characters. I can't wait for more!

What did you love best about Back to the Fuchsia?

EVERYTHING!! Gertie is still one of my favorite characters in this series.

What other book might you compare Back to the Fuchsia to and why?

Compare to another book that is not one of Melanie's - no comparison, as it is definitely an original story. I guess if I had to compare it to anything - I could compare this series to Robyn Petermans Hot Damn Series.. Why? because they are both too funny and original stories I can listen to over and over again.

What about Hollie Jackson’s performance did you like?

Hollie Jackson always does an amazing job. She is great at giving each character a great voice and amazing personality that completes the visual.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I listened to it twice and will probably listen to again.

This book is a must if you enjoy listening to hilarious books that keep you giggling and guessing.

Loved it!

Gertie goes back in time! And we all know how much fun Gertie can be. I loved this story, and listening to it made it even more fun! The narrator is great and the story kept me hooked (and laughing) throughout. Highly recommend! I was gifted an audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Great Read

Back to the Fuchsia (Tales from the Paranormal Plantation #2) was a great read by Melanie James. Gertie O'Leary is able to time travel after a magical accident. Gertie lives at the Paranormal Plantation and decides on another DIY project. She accidentally mixes her favorite color with untried witchcraft. She created a strange time warp side effect that lands her and her posse to the court of King Henry VIII. Gertie's friend loses her memory and tries stealing Gertie's boyfriend. This was another good read and I can't wait to read more by the author.

Great witchy story!

I was excited to see this second in the series. I really enjoyed the first and this one was no exception. This is a funny story with quirky characters and a bit of romance. The images that the author paints are a great addition to the story. Great read!

Gertie's Time Traveling Blunder

Gertie and magic what more can I say but oh no. I honestly enjoyed this laugh a minute storyline filled with quirky characters and fantastic creatures. Hollie Jackson again does a stellar performance narrating all of the characters including two Sasquatches. I highly recommend this book if you love the supernatural, comedy and mysteries. I received this book from Audiobooks Unleashed and this is my honest unbiased review.

Cute Story!

Gertie is at It again—her naivety still gets her into trouble and is sometimes truly hilarious. Because of Gertie’s bumbling, there’s quite a bit of adventure and danger in this story that will keep you on edge...wondering what will happen next and how everyone is going to extract themselves from those unexpected and dangerous situations. The narrator did an excellent job in bringing this story to life and greatly enhanced my listening pleasure. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
