The story was ok.... BUT

This story was OK, but the lead character was so unbelievably difficult for no good reason, falling right into that stereotype that I despise. I stopped this book for weeks at a time because of her. Also, the narrator was just OK, no real voice inflection or character changes, with the exception of the angry black woman character- she seemed to have that one down too good! Lastly, get that this author likes to tie all her male characters together from her various series, but at some point it becomes just drawn out confusion. This is another one that was included in the Romance package and as usual, I just kinda let it play in the background for some noise while I work, but this is another book from this author that I am glad I didn't have to pay for.

Romantic Story

I really enjoyed the story of Darcy and York. They really never got along with each other, but while in Jamaica, the had discovered a passion for each other like never before!!! I can't wait to read another story like this one!!!

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. The couple were great together and I would like to hear more about their story with some children.

Great narration

Love BJ’s books. An added bonus when the narration is right. The love story is Brenda formula for hot and heavy love both in and out of the bedroom. Characters were well developed but it is hard to image the heroine overcoming her stubbornness. Would have been better to see her transform or temper her attitude. Would read it again

I enjoy the story very much, I love the story from the begin to the end. Like they on vacation, they met. Didn't either one, they was at same place. How they throughly they didn't like each other. When time with on, they saw that had feelings one another. At the end to come together as one.😀😜😉

Why must our Protagonists of color be so stupid?

Would you try another book from Brenda Jackson and/or Shari Peele?

Shari Peele captured the personality and character of the protagonist quite well. However, the story line is sadly lacking.

Would you ever listen to anything by Brenda Jackson again?

I have read Brenda Jackson's books before, so I would be willing to give her another change. However, I hope that her characters could be more developed and realistic.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Better personalities of the female protagonist would make the story better. The story would also have been improved by giving more detail to how the case was solved.

Any additional comments?

it pains me to see that an educated, successful woman of color is portrayed as extremely stubborn, difficult, and stupid in some cases.
