Narrado por: Claire Birchfield

Claire wasn’t looking for a different life.

She already had one.

Then a ticket showed up in her inbox.

What followed wasn’t a plan. It wasn’t a fantasy.

It was movement. Fast. Reckless. Undeniable.

Las Vegas. Europe. A connection she couldn’t explain and couldn’t control.

A life waiting back home. A choice she didn’t plan to make.

This is not a story about what it all meant.

It’s about what it felt like to live it.

Just the moments as they happened, before the meaning settled.

Based on a true story too wild to be fiction.

The gamble wasn’t Vegas. It was him.

“A brutally honest, sexually charged, emotionally immersive memoir that reads like you’re sitting across from her hearing everything she probably shouldn’t be telling you.”

I am so proud of my friend for putting her heart into this book and sharing her gift of writing with the world. ❤️

I actually know many of the details and stories behind the book, which has made listening to it on Audible even more special. It’ s been so much fun hearing the story come to life and seeing everything in print. I honestly can’t wait to get in my car each day so I can keep listening!

She did such a wonderful job, and I hope she continues to follow her passion for writing. She definitely has a story to tell and a gift for telling it.

If you’re looking for a great book, do yourself a favor and buy this one. You won’t be disappointed! I’m so happy for her and so proud to call her my friend. ❤️

Hook, line and sinker. Claire gets ALL the stars!

So well written! This novel had a great pace. Short chapters are appreciated on the treadmill! My one complaint would be that it ended too soon!

Raw and captivating

This book played in my head like a movie while I listened. I couldn’t turn it off! Equally balance romance, family, hard work and a lot of movement! Claire’s life should be studied lol! I’m a snob about narrator voices, and Claire’s is like butter. Can’t wait for more to come!

More to her

This book is raw, risky and incredibly honest. What struck me most wasn’t necessarily the story on the surface, but what was underneath it — how easy it can be for someone to mask what they are struggling with and present a completely different version of themselves to the world.
There’s a lot of vulnerability in Claire telling her story this openly, especially when it isn’t always pretty or easy to explain. It’s complicated, messy and very human.
