‘Live an active life among people who are doing worthwhile things, keep eyes and ears and mind and heart open to absorb truth, and then tell of the things you know, as if you know them. The world will listen, for the world loves nothing so much as real life.’

A definitive guide to delivering effective speeches from two masters in the self-improvement field, Dale Carnegie and Joseph Berg Esenwein, The Art of Public Speaking is a classic self-help text that resonates still today.

Carnegie’s first runaway bestseller, written in conjunction with Esenwein, The Art of Public Speaking offers clear-cut, direct advice on how to overcome fear, boost articulation skills and develop the self-confidence to produce a successful speech. Written with Carnegie’s trademark empathetic flair and encouraging tone, this book breaks down the key components necessary to make a speech that sustains the interest of your audience and can be both influential and impactful.
