When she disappeared and I realized trouble had found her, I knew I’d do whatever it took to make sure she was safe. Only after I had her back did I realize she was f**king perfect for me. Watching her handle the club wh*res was hot as hell, and she didn’t take sh*t off anyone.

Love these worlds

and how they all overlap. Sometimes it gets a little confusing keeping it all straight but the stories are solid and the characters are great. I love that this one is a 2nd gen kinda one and sorta comes full circle with her dad and mom. I wanted a little more with the end But it was well paced and a great listen. Umi does the narration like no one else.

Great Narration, but the Romance Just Didn't Work

I listened to the audiobook, and as always, Umi Markkanen did a fantastic job. She's narrated most of this series, and she's one of the reasons I keep coming back. She gives each character a distinct voice, and I especially appreciate how convincing she is with the male characters. Her performance really brought the story to life.

That said, this one just wasn't my favorite. The story had plenty of action, drama, and the MC family dynamics I've come to expect from the series, but I struggled with Demon as a love interest. The repeated spanking of Farrah felt excessive to me and took away from the romance instead of adding to it. It became such a distraction that I had a hard time connecting with their relationship or rooting for them as a couple.

Overall, the narration was excellent and kept me listening, but the relationship dynamic wasn't for me. If you're already invested in the series, it's worth giving it a try, but this installment just didn't resonate with me the way the previous books have. Three stars.

Delightful!

Farrah is the daughter of the VP of the Dixie Reapers and she is unapologetically stubborn and feisty. She's not been allowed to lead the life of a "normal young adult." After a run-in with her father, she ends up in Blackwood Falls, in the territory of Devil's Fury. In order to decompress, she goes to their clubhouse and runs into the Sgt of Arms, Demon. She basically begs him for sex since her purpose is to get rid of her v-card. Demon struggles with what they've done because he doesn't stick around if someone gets pregnant. As it turns out, he sings a different song once Farrah finds herself pregnant. Demon struggles, but he's really a family man who has no problem with making her his old lady. I like the inclusion of extended family within the MCs and Demon discovers a new reality regarding his father.
The narration is wonderfully done by Umi Markkanen. Her clear, dynamic voice and steady pace make the characters come alive with a unique personality and attitude.

AH! I totally need more...

Gosh, I love slipping back into these worlds—they’re simple and sorta not super different from one another, but still manage to be addictive, packing everything I need to really get into them. This one starts out on a very dramatic note and I was so here for it!

Ohh this was so incredible—absolutely flawless sound, and beautiful voice-acting. A single narrator almost makes this sound full-cast!
