This week on the Power Play Post Show, hosts Bob Howard and Taylor Welch bring another packed show for the fans of the podcast and of the Binghamton Black Bears. The two hosts talk about the Mac Jansen suspension impacts and the signing of the forward Mason Hoehn.
Our first guest this week is Brian Laing from the Hockey 4 Hope charity. Bob and Brian talked about his playing career being a Binghamton native and what led him to start the Hockey 4 Hope organization. Bob and Brian then talked about the upcoming FREE game at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena where NHL stars like Theo Fleury, Bernie Nicholls, Chris Bala and Binghamton Rangers star Don Biggs. Bob then sat down with Binghamton Black Bears rookie net-minder, Brandon Shantz. Bob and Brandon talked about growing up in San Antonio, Texas, his father who played at a high-level of hockey in San Antonio, playing in the Dallas Stars youth hockey program, playing in Minnesota, then in New Hampshire for college before joining the Black Bears. The two then talk about his pro-debut shutout vs. the Danbury Hat Tricks in Danbury.
