This year, Australia is coming together to celebrate Harmony Week from 16 to 21 March. In this podcast, SBS Hindi speak with Anne Aly, Minister for International Development, Multicultural Affairs, and Small Business, to share what truly shapes Australia, social cohesion, multiculturalism, the contributions of migrants, the role of the Indian diaspora and the rise of One Nation's Pauline Hanson. She opens up about her own family story: over 50 years ago, her migrant parents arrived with skills but had to take on odd jobs, a reality that still touches the lives of many migrants today. The minister calls for a change in attitudes and behaviour, reminding us that the migrant story is about far more than cleaning toilets or driving buses and Ubers.
