An even better second book!

I’ve been waiting for this one since I finished book one. The western vibes were so beautifully captured: from the writing to Ryan’s narration, the other actors, and then to top it off…the music!! And I gotta say, somehow I think every single category got an improvement from book one…that I didn’t even know could be possible. Every character is more developed and nuanced and that’s reflected in the performances as well. After listening to several of Ryan’s titles, he’s gonna be one of the Greats in narration. His range is insane. So after this title, go check out his other work. You won’t be disappointed.

Loved every bit of

I’ve read just about everything Jonathan Smidt has put out, from his dungeon core stuff to the elemental series, and he keeps getting better with each book. Beast of the Black Hills is another solid one! Keeps that same fun mix of action, progression, and wild ideas that hooks you right away.
The Sound Booth Theater narration is top-notch as usual. Ryan H. Reid does a great job bringing the gunslinger vibe to life, and the full cast plus sound design make it feel like you’re right in the middle of a western showdown. Really elevates the whole listen.
If you’re into his other works, you won’t be disappointed. Another winner.

Outstanding!

The narration and story were amazing! The cast did a beautiful job bringing the tale to life. My only complaint was the outro music on chapter 39 was far too loud, but other than that one instance the music led great ambiance to the story making it feel immersive and wonderful.
