The conclusion of the Just Be series.

Brynn Evason has come a long way since her first year at Camp Lakewood. She’s experienced her first boyfriend and her first breakup. She’s banished negativity from her life by cutting out fake friends, and she’s made new connections that she’s sure will last a lifetime. She’s still working on her confidence, but she’s definitely noticed a boost (thanks, in part, to those new best friends!) And she graduated high school and, now, she’s nearly completed a year in the Arts for All program at RCU.

But what’s next?
Brynn is a perfectly capable young adult who (almost!) has a college certification in songwriting and professional presentations. She also has cerebral palsy, needs personal care assistants, and speaks with a communication device. All semester, she’s been working on a way to bring all of these facts about her life together in a secret theater project—her end-of-the-year project—to showcase to friends and family upon completion of the program.

Along the way, she’s also working on a few other super important things: figuring out a way to move into her own apartment after college, possibly getting back together with her first love, and trying to chart a path to what a career may look like for her once she has her college certifications in hand.

Listeners may be sorry to see Brynn go, especially if they’ve grown up with her over the past decade, but her stories can be listened to again and again and will be discovered and recommended to every new teen looking for wholesome young adult novels about camp, first love, female friendships, teens with disabilities, and coming of age stories.

The Just Be series should be listened to in this order:

  • Dancing Daisies
  • Switch the Song
  • Mix the Music
  • Learn the Lyrics
  • Perform the Piece
