Cyclone Harry devastates Italy as France floods worsen

Cyclone Harry has caused more than $1.7 billion in damage across southern Italy, with Sicily and Sardinia experiencing extensive destruction to roads, harbours and beachside properties. The Italian Coast Guard deployed hundreds of personnel and naval, land and air assets in emergency operations. Severe flooding has struck northern France's Brittany region, where heavy rains caused rivers to break their banks, trapping residents in submerged homes and vehicles, marking the worst flooding since 2014.
