“Occasionally in life one develops a conviction so precious and meaningful that he will stand on it till the end."- Martin Luther King Jr
Everyone who has ever helped make the world freer, fairer, and safer shared something in common:
There was something that mattered to them more than comfort.
More than approval.
More than safety.
Hebrews tells us that Moses “chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures” of an easier life (Hebrews 11:25–26)—because he was looking ahead to something greater.
Meaningful change has always required that kind of clarity.
A willingness to risk what is temporary for what is eternal.
To endure inconvenience, hardship, even loss—because love, dignity, and faith mattered more.
So the question before us is simple, but not easy:
What matters to us?
And does it matter enough to shape our choices?
Let us pray:
God, give us the conviction and courage to stand for what matters, with unyielding faith and unshakable love.

(Thanks for your prayers. I’ve been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a condition that usually corrects in time. Thanks for your concern and well wishes. Your prayers are appreciated.)
