Melbourne family rescued from croc-infested floodwaters

A family of seven from Melbourne became stranded in their rental van after attempting to cross a flooded causeway near Wallaman Falls in North Queensland. Three local graziers spotted the vehicle's lights and rescued the tourists from the metre-deep floodwaters, which were home to a 4.5-metre crocodile named Otis. Swiftwater rescue crews from Townsville assisted in ferrying the family to safety.
