Understanding the biblical definition of sin is a necessity for correct doctrine. It is more than a semantic discussion over terminology. It goes to the heart of Christian life and experience and affects every theological position. The core of Wesleyan theology is the understanding that God delivers from all sin, both in practice and in heart. Scripture is very clear that, at the judgment, God will either condemn one to hell or allow one into heaven based upon the sinlessness of his life. The issue of dealing with sin has divided evangelical Christianity into Calvinistic and Wesleyan camps. This book will give a defense of the Wesleyan definition of sin and argue that this position is both the biblical definition and the accepted understanding throughout history.
