Tillie & Will!

What would you do for jawbreakers? Lula sees her chance to get some by playing matchmaker between Will and her best friend Tillie. These two grew up together and Will always teased her. He is back in town and Tillie isn't sure that she is too happy about that but Will wants to win her heart, as he always loved her. What better way than to piggyback the penpal lesson she is giving to her students? Letters back and forth with a pseudonym, Will slowly is winning her over. But what will happen when she learns he is the author? This book is filled with so much fun! Not only inspirational, it has humor and romance, good friends and budding love. I not only loved Tillie and Will, but Lula and Gideon added depth and that feeling of friendship and community. Plus the jawbreakers that just made me smile each time they are mentioned. My kind of payment! I loved this listen!

Kacy Combest is the narrator and she is perfectly cast for this story. I really enjoy her voices, easily going from male to female and creating a specific, identifiable one for each character. She builds the romance and has great comedic timing. Her warmth and understanding of the story made this a fabulous performance.
