While most Calvinism vs Arminianism books focus on the five points of Calvinism, this book explains how Arminianism ruins every single major soteriological issue, beginning with scripture and the sovereignty of God, then onto man's sin, God's love and election, his justification, and so on. Arminian theology elevates man by denying the corruption of sin and insisting on the freedom of the human will, which then necessarily leads to a denial of God's sovereignty. It denies the complete justification of forgiveness and imputation, and places in man the ability to attain perfection while placing on man the requirement of perfection for divine acceptance. In this, Arminianism places the burden of our perseverance in faith on our feeble shoulders, granting them a strength they do not have. All of this Arminianism does while ruining our witness to the lost, by denying to God the grace and power to save souls, by erroneously and arrogantly demanding that only the will can save a man.
