​Beautifully Written and Beautifully Narrated

A heartbreaking depiction of what can happen when there's a tyrant in the White House. John Ridge, on the other hand, has been unjustly maligned as a traitor. The author makes it clear that John loved his Cherokee nation, and he was trying desperately to find the lesser evil. I learned so much. Truly a towering achievement.

Narration is fantastic, the story is enthralling

The narrator, Cameron Delgrosso, does a fantastic job and really adds depth and thoughtfulness to the characters. The story itself is fascinating, very well researched and delicately brings this history to life.
