Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Operation Rising Lion is needed for ‘Israel’s very survival.’ More attacks are expected in the hours and days ahead. Iranian TV says civilians including children have been killed. The head of the Revolutionary Guard and several top nuclear scientists are also dead. The United States has neither endorsed nor condemned Israel’s move which is seen by many as the official start of war between Israel and Iran.
