Two souls, forever entwined. One seeking justice. The other craving revenge.

Nyssa Blacksea is tired of running from the Imperial regime that wants her dead. With a royal bargaining chip in hand, and freedom for her and Quinn finally within reach, Nyssa's ready to take the fight to the Empire's doorstep. She's armed with a desperate plan and a dangerous weapon: hope.

But that hope is shattered when Quinn's nemesis, Ceril Anelos, strikes. Always a step ahead, his traitorous intentions soon become clear—master forbidden magick that has been locked away for centuries. His ruthless attack forces Nyssa and Quinn to form an unlikely alliance with the very powers that once threatened them. Navigating a treacherous web of Imperial politics, power struggles, and old rivals, Nyssa's top priority remains protecting those she loves.

Both women must confront their own painful pasts while hunting down Anelos, who will stop at nothing to claim Quinn and kill Nyssa. As they race to prevent him from becoming a god himself, Nyssa fights to stay true to her sense of honor and protect Quinn from being consumed by the darkness of hate.

For listeners who love unique epic fantasy set against a semi-modern backdrop, featuring a sapphic enemies-to-lovers slow-burn romance. Unyielding will appeal to fans of Arcane (Netflix), The Legend of Korra, and Gideon the Ninth.

amazing story, if Wayne's voice works your stomach turn like it does mine, get the kindle version and read through Athen chapters while skipping Wayne.

less Athen scenes = less Wayne Mitchell

fights awesome, love story intriguing, ending wanting. Excellent third book👍 Anticipating the next book, don't take too long, please.

Badass

It felt like the author relied on collars and kidnappings in order to move the plot along. It makes me hesitant to read another book from this author.

Really loved this trilogy. Tore through it in 5 days. That being said, should have stuck with only one narrator like the first book instead of adding a secondary male narrator. His parts really took me out of the story and were overly dramatic imho. Thankfully they were kept to a minimum but it was unnecessary and disconnecting. Other than that a solid 5/5 series.

Love this series!

I honestly loved this book and the overall wrap up at the end of it. The ending left just enough of a cliff hanger for me to anticipate a 4th book and curious as to what will happen to wrap up the remaining scuffles left for Quinn & Nessa to endure. I do agree with a comment mentioning the slight annoyance of the void collars. As far as what most reviews have mentioned about Wayne's voice acting, I won't rag on him the way others have. I agree that the way he dramatically perceives the voice of Athen or any of the female characters needs to be brought down a lot, however I do think he has a good general voice for Athen. I think if he talked in a calm but deep voice for the male characters and the same but slightly higher tone for the females and ditched the heavy theatrics and need to sound overly gruff in certainmoments, he'd be a lot bareable to listen to in the audio books. Hopefully, if there is another book, he'll practice more and take the criticism to heart and the more aggressive comments with a grain of salt. Loved the series overall though!

Hoping for another, Wayne just needs work. (No spoilers)

The whole series was very well written and performed. I highly recommend all 3 books if you like adventure, steamy romance, espionage, and good old fighting.

Great Adventure

Wayne Mitchell does not belong as a voice actor in this story. Maybe a WW2 drama but not a sapphic story. All you hear is an angry man yelling even in a soft moment.

Trash Wayne Mitchell’s work on this series.

Wayne only had like 5 chapters and they were all unbearable. Other than him, this book was amazing.

The first two books did such a wonderful job setting up the world, the characters, their relationships, and the plot, I was so excited for the finale. Things started off quick with big wheels of the story turning… but those wheels don’t really ever slow down or speed up, and it becomes predictable.

Instead of taking the opportunity to expand on what the last books had established; the entire focus is on repetitive and recycled plot points. The things you want explained or elaborated on feels cut short in favor of dragging out scenes and events that really don’t even need to be there. Once I was half way through, I could zone out for an hour because I knew how the scene was going to play out.

The end was anticlimactic and rushed, missing out on multitudes of opportunities for world and character development. I felt cheated out of a huge impactful finale; when the “climactic” event played out, it was less exciting than earlier points in the book, let alone the series.

The epilogue was disappointing and felt like everyone’s storyline was cut short in order to wrap it all up at once- with just enough fray to hint at another book in the series should there be a demand of it.

All respect to those who want another, but I won’t be looking out for the next one.

Disappointing end for such an amazing build up *no spoilers*
