Decent story. Good narration.

I enjoyed the narration. Kale Williams adds some personality to the characters. I like the idea of the story, and the social commentary is interesting. The story could use a little polish. The villains are flat faceless characters. The heros are one dimensional.

I know that Seth was in the Army so show me. He was a sniper, but he never sets up a sniper nest to catch the bad guys at a distance. It doesn't even have to be a fatal plan. Just fluffing have a plan! The bad guys know they are coming, but Seth and Evan just wander into town with little to no plan. I have read way to many sniper manuals to believe that Seth isn't capable of some measure of strategy.

If you like the idea of an amalgamation of Scooby Doo and Supernatural with the added bonus of a gay romance, you might enjoy the story.

Suspenseful and gripping.

I love characters bravery and passion. Their quest continues and I can't wait for the next book.

Signs and Wonders

Signs and Wonders breaks the series’ installment pattern, where the warlock-of-the-book functions as infrastructure rather than occasion. Fletcher Swain’s particular brand of predation, wrapping dark magic in the language of wellness and digital commerce, gives the threat a texture specific enough to generate genuine unease rather than procedural momentum. More significantly, Brice uses the pressure of the hunt to shift something in Seth that earlier books have circled without quite resolving: the recognition that survival with Evan is the point, not a reward that comes after the mission ends. That reorientation doesn’t arrive as a declared epiphany but as behavioral evidence, which is the harder and more satisfying way to write it. The climax consolidates everything the book has built and delivers it with more force than the series has managed in recent entries.
