Fernando Millán Romeral is a Carmelite priest of the Baetica Province in the Andalucian region of Spain. He studied philosophy and theology in Madrid and Seville in Spain and at Milltown in Dublin, Ireland. He earned his doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy.
After completing his doctoral studies, Fr. Fernando taught for 12 years at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid. In September 2007 he was elected prior general of the Carmelite Order, He was re-elected in September 2013 and served until 2019. He then returned to teaching at Comillas and was appointed the director of the Spiritual Institute of the University.
Fr. Fernando has published several books and articles on a wide range of topics. Many of his books have been translated into various languages.
A noted expert on Titus Brandsma, he served as one of two vice-postulators general for Fr. Titus Brandma's cause for Canonization.
