  • Scott Payne spent 25 years in the FBI, a lot of the time undercover infiltrating Nazi groups and white supremacist organizations, motorcycle gangs, etc. He busted up many plots including one Dylan Roof copycat that wanted to attack a synagogue in Myrtle Beach. He also spent Halloween night 2019 camping in the backwoods of Georgia, huddled with a cell of neo-Nazis as they slaughtered a goat and drank its blood in a ritual pagan sacrifice. In Code Name: Pale Horse (coming March 25), this retired FBI agent, crowned as the "Hillbilly Donnie Brasco," takes readers into some of the most terrifying and risky assignments in the FBI's history. They will join Scott as he goes undercover with the lethal Outlaw Motorcycle Club in Massachusetts; ventures into the mountains of Tennessee where he was on the front lines of the opioid epidemic; and travels to Alabama, where he infiltrates the Klu Klux Klan by singing and playing guitar for them as a thirty-foot cross burns, and wonders how this is his life.
