Caring for your child is the most beautiful task I can ever do. Feeling stuck in a relationship slows you down. This audiobook does teach you how to set boundaries without guilt. For example, we should not force our child to do something they may not feel comfortable doing. The seven most common childhood emotional wounds remind me how overwhelming it feels to stay strong and not let obstacles stop or slow us down. We should teach our kids how to overcome temptation so they can follow our example and believe in themselves.

felt like this book was talkin 2 me

Great book

Such a relief to listen to this book

Right from the introduction, I felt a sense of relief to learn that some of my patterns and triggers of emotion have a root cause that I can do something about. I am typically a calm and logical thinking; however, there are certain things and people that just seem to "push my buttons" and suddenly my frustrations and anger flair up when I least expect it. Listening to the excellently narrated audiobook helped me understand where these emotions and the stress they cause are likely coming from. Now that I have a clearer understanding, I am confident I can finally learn to control my emotions even when around those button pushers!
