One long breathtaking moment after another

I’m not military but this seemed like a real look at the espirit de corps. I could barely get anything done because I wanted to get back to the book. I can’t say much without ruining it but I encourage you to give it a try. I don’t think you’ll regret it. Oh and I’m a 72 year old woman so it’s for everyone

Narrator was excellent!

A great narrator can make or break a story. This one made the book come alive. I’m hoping the author has additional follow-up books. If so, I hope it’s the same narrator.

This is a rerelease minus some chapters

Be careful not to get this if you already have it. They will just sell you another copy even if you have the original. I hate when they do this. Annoying

I really liked the characters, the plot, the narrator and I cant wait for the rest of the series

Great scifi military story, with interesting tech mixed in and interesting characters. Looking forward to the next book.

Didn’t really have a point

I just finished the entire Wayward Galaxy series. I always go back to the first book in any series, then binge on the series if it’s a good series. I read the Galaxy’s Edge prequels (books 0.5,0.6 & 0.7) and they were well done. This book wasn’t as good. It didn’t seem to have a plot. Just fighting and surviving (or NOT). Maybe it was just to introduce the characters and set the stage for the series. The epilogue was interesting.

Has potential

Honestly it was kinda depressing… so if you’re into that, this is probably your type of book.

Incredibly good story. Galactic Military SciFi at it's best.

This was an excellent story. Engaging, exciting, interesting, gut-wrenching, and gritty tale of honor, duty, manhood, brotherhood, and battle.
Masterfully told, from the perspective that only a combat veteran could know.
Definitely buying the whole series.
