Love this Series, loved this Story

Great characters, exciting, Romantic, everything I’ve come to expect from an Anna Hackett story. Great Narration. Looking forward to another story in this series

Meet Cute!

So... what a way to meet local law enforcement. Phew. Hollis was trying to lay low but her borrowed coffee maker had other ideas and Sawyer just happened to be the closest to help.

Love the chemistry, the story is believable and entertaining, and I always root for the good guys to win the day. Gotta love a cameo as well.

Anna always manages to hit it out of the park and I look forward to entering her worlds over and over.

Kindred spirits

I loved the sexual chemistry of both Hollis and Sawyer right off the bat. They both were seeking refuge from their lonely lives that had run them down and in Hollis’s case from danger. The companionship they formed was instant and beautiful. I loved both the characters and I was sucked into the story from start to finish. This book had just the right amount of action, angst and spice and I loved it. Set amidst the beautiful backdrop of the Hawaiian beaches mixed with the romance and hot swoony love scenes I would definitely recommend this short audio escape!

Deputy Sheriff Sawyer Lane lives in Maui. He retired from Ghost Ops after a mission went really bad, and now he helps keep Maui safe. When he’s asked to check on a malfunctioning smoke detector in the house next door, he finds a beautiful lady wearing a towel, while trying to turn the alarm off. The woman is actress Hollis Stanton, and she’s hiding out in Maui from someone who is trying to hurt or even kill her, because of a conversation she overheard. Sawyer is attracted, but he believes she’s so far out of his league that it’s not even worth trying. It turns out that the man speaking during the conversation she overheard, wants her dead, and Sawyer ends up keeping her safe and saving her life several times.

Since this is an Anna Hackett book, you can be certain of a tense storyline, nearly non-stop action, plenty of danger, and timely support arriving when needed. There are a few delightful cameos featuring Vander Norcross and his team. Also expected is that things do look dire a time or three for our protagonists as the story evolves.

These two protagonists have both been through some tough stuff. They are both honorable people trying to do the right things. They come across in this story as genuine, caring people. The narration is well-done, and believable, thanks to the quality of these voice actors.

Sweet and Sexy

Let’s just say that Anna Hackett has yet to write a book I don’t like! I loved Hollis and Sawyer together, they were just right for each other. And great location (I love Hawaii and the people), great characters, sizzling attraction and a decent storyline made for a perfect day of listening. Looking forward to the next one!

I loved the meet cute

A captivating story as Sawyer and Hollis are thrust into a mystery to solve with the danger following Hollis. I loved the meet cute between the two, it had me laughing out loud picturing the scene unfold. These two were perfect for each, helping to heal each others wounds and finding an amazing love in the process. Hollis was a spitfire and very protective of her man herself, and that made the story even better. And Sawyer was quite the catch. Just so much to love and enjoy about the fast-paced, danger, action, and suspense filled story. The narrators brought the characters to life.
