A phenomenal tale performed expertly

I already loved this book when I read it a few months back, but this was incredible. Tempest Mensah performed this exceptionally. Besides their vocal range, they really showcased how well the story flowed. The Chaos Weilder by A. E. Cosby is a breathtakingly magical dark urban science fantasy expertly balanced with adventure, action, emotional growth, mental health rep, and so much SPICE. Paced perfectly, I was pulled in immediately and held by the throat for every twist and turn and traumatic catastrophe the author wove into this tale. The world and characters Cosby built were so detailed, and the imagery was magnificent! This is such a wonderful book and series, and I highly recommend it!

Hot and heavy avatar the last airbender

OMG! This book deserves more praise and notice because HOLY HELL was it good! I listened to the audiobook and followed along on my kindle. First of all, the narrator (Tempest Mensah) was phenomenal. It is difficult to be able to alter your voice for multiple characters and to perform them in a way that not only brings the book to life but also captures the reader’s attention and Tempest was able to do all that and more with such ease. It is always a brilliant listen when it is her on the mic. Now to the story itself, the world building was off the charts, if you’re a fan on avatar the last airbender then this will have you flipping the pages so quickly. The spice was OFF THE CHARTS HOT! And the plot and twists will have you screaming OMG! 10/10 recommend.

Chaos, twists, and absolute perfection!

I’m not usually a romantasy or fantasy reader, but when I heard this was Avatar: The Last Airbender meets Blade with a dash of The Fifth Element, I couldn’t resist saying, “Heck yes, I need this!” This story was pure chaos in the best, most intentional way. It took me a moment to get used to the shifting POVs after part one, but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked.

I would definitely recommend reading the physical book alongside the audiobook. I only did audio, and it took me a bit longer to fully grasp everything, but once I did, I was all in. I thought I had everything figured out heading into the end AE dropped all the hints, right? but nope! Plot twist with a side of emotional gut punch, and I loved every second of it.

This story has it all: a strong FMC, fantastic queer representation, and incredible character building. I’m so ready for book two!
