When a murderer moves in the shadows, you must commit to the dark.

A cryptic message attached to a dog's collar sends FBI analyst Bradley Whitman into the shadows of an abandoned sandpit to investigate the heinous murder of a homeless woman. Who sent the message, and why would someone want her dead? As Bradley works with his longtime friend become boss, Supervisory Special Agent Derek Richards, the case tests Bradley's wheelchair-bound physical limits and challenges the notion that he can save the world.

This is the 2nd book in a 5-7 book series. I am looking for a narrator who can commit to the series.

The story was well written. A solid mystery read. The only cons I'd give are:

1) Author: leave out the recipes. The detail was great, but pointless and did nothing to drive the story forward.

2) Narrator: there were a couple of places the narrator seemed to struggle with a pronunciation or how one idea flowed into another. The pacing could use a little work, especially by leaving more space around the section headers.

Other than those things, if you're into mysteries, definitely give this one a read.

Good job of narration

The narrator brought the characters to life and made the dialog easy to follow. Looking forward to the next book.

We thought the narrator for this book did an excellent job. He was able to add life to the characters. He developed each character and maintained their voice throughout the book. The book was well written and I loved the recipes that were mentioned. Great job!
