Acerca de esta escucha
Following his wife’s suicide, Aaron Wyler quits his job as a detective with the NYPD to focus on caring for his traumatized young son, but he soon gets pulled into investigating a strange death linked to a missing religious artifact, an ancient gemstone mentioned in both The Torah and The Bible. After a second murder, he stumbles upon a shocking conspiracy involving some of the world’s most powerful and influential people. In this first book in the Aaron Wyler detective series, Wyler is forced to confront dark forces he doesn’t fully understand, including his own inner demons, in order to unravel this thrilling mystery from one of history’s hidden footnotes.

Tennis Shoes for the Nephites for adults
This book is kind of like Tennis Shoes for the Nephites for adults. Good suspense and story line. It is a real page turner. Very entertaining.

Compelling and smart.
Read this book last year and was excited to see an audio version of it. Very well done. Worth the price of buying the book twice!

Mystery and faith
Joe Doria nicely mixes mystery and faith with the personal issues and histories of the characters. Aaron Wyler is believable as a successful investigator and as a father trying to survive and adjust after family tragedy. The realistic details from places, cultures, and religions helps to establish a real world feeling that strengthens and supports the story. I look forward to the next book.
