When Wade Rooker gets a confidential referral to an Achievement Seminar, he thinks it may be a great chance to help him move up the professional food chain. But soon after the conference room doors shut, all is not what it seems. Shocking revelations are made, and Wade isn't sure who to trust. Attendees can leave at any time, but somehow Wade feels trapped—wanting to reach the next "gate". When he begins to have suspicions, he tries turning the tables, unsure if he's helping or hurting his cause. Is this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, or is it something darker?

Intriguing but stands alone, makes you want more

I usually prefer text to audio but this was a great teaser to make me want more. I would be curious to read Jay’s other works after this introduction (I’ve already enjoyed Jay’s other works). The narrator enunciation is clear with good pace, and he differentiated characters with voice nuances. I especially liked how he lowered his voice to indicate protagonist’s thoughts. I think I will pull “Measure of Danger” from my shelf on this rainy morning.
