  • Ep19: Jaz, Founder of RAW Holistics, On Bridging The Gap Between Ancestral Wisdom & Modern Healthcare
    May 19 2024

In this episode, Jazmine Reyes shares her story transitioning from a burned out ICU Travel Nurse to a Holistic Nurse Coach and Consultant. She now specializes in helping clients with preventive care and Functional Medicine to treat the root cause of symptoms. 👩🏻‍⚕️

She founded @RAWHolistics, a special name she chose, which stands for "Remembering Ancestral Wisdom." This name pays homage to her grandmother who lived until 105 !!! (compared to average American who lives until 77) by simply living a soft, slow, intentional lifestyle! Learning from this, Jaz strives to un-complicate health by teaching how to reconnect with the ways of our ancestors. Her motto is, what would our ancestors do!? 👵🏻

In alignment with this, Jaz personally shifted her life from high-paced city life 🏙️ to slow, intentional living in the country 🤠. She shares so many interesting farm stories and even brought us some farm goodies, as she says…

🥐 One she made - sourdough

🥚 One she raised - chicken eggs

🦌 One she hunted - deer sausage

Lastly, on her journey, Jaz highlights how she felt compelled to break generational patterns of alcohol abuse in her family. Now, she serves as Vice President of The Core @core3626, a nonprofit organization that supports women suffering from trauma, sexual abuse, or those at risk, through mentorship, education, employment assistance, and more. 🏠
