Thoroughly Entertaining

I enjoy this series. It's unique setting and characters, as well as the well plotted mysteries. provide the reader with a compelling escape. The dialogue is intelligent, and the humor, wit, and sarcasm make for an entertaining read. Both Shayla and Alex are strong characters with interesting abilities, and I enjoy watching their personal and professional relationships building naturally. I look forward to the next book and hope this series has a good long run.

The narrator does a good job voicing each character.

I am really enjoying this series!

This isn't my normal genre. Lately, I don't normally go for cozy mysteries, but I am having a lot of fun with this! I like the fact that it has low drama and is a comfortable listen. I find the stories engaging and entertaining, the characters enjoyable, and the narrator good. Note: I listened to this series at 1.75 speed.

A good story

This is the last available book in this series through Audible as of January 2025. I know there are 29 books on Amazon Kindle. However, I read about as fast as a Tortoise runs a 5k. I will have to wait for more of them to become available through Audible. This was a good story with one statue sized surprise. No spoilers! We follow the main character as she solves another murder as the island game warden. Really she should just become the co-sheriff. It's a good story in many ways and it was fun trying to figure out who did the actual crime.
