Awesome story that keeps you wondering what’s next

I couldn’t get enough of the series, I’m writing this review after finishing book 3 I skipped book 1.5 because of the narrator, I’m picky with narrated books. The narrator has to be really good, most narrators and nasally whiny Weasley voices, the guy that did this one, fits the role perfectly and adds character in depth to the characters he’s reading. It’s a fantastic combination.

pretty solid overall

Of the books in this series I’ve finished, this first one is the best so far. I would note the author likes to lob in at least a few modern political and ideological statements and those that disagree are apparently just stupid. It’s usually just a few lines here or there but it comes across as condescending and drops me out of the narrative every time by the way it’s handled. The sequels are not as good as this first one in my opinion. Nightmare Factory is the best but it’s not great.

Jonathan Davis is fantastic as always.

Very entertaining, lots of action, moves fast.

I listen to audiobooks to stay entertained during my long commute, to stay alive, and not die, falling asleep at the wheel. JK Franks has saved my life, worth every penny, and on to book 2. Yes, I'm still alive, and while I enjoy other authors and other narrators...JK Franks delivers and the performance is really good!

Interesting high tech human enhancements.

This was a pretty good story and kept my attention. The combat scenes were well written.
