    Part 1:
We talk with Jonathan Feingold as part of the Race Class series.
#RaceClass Ep. 71 | Political Polarization is Nonsense

Arnie & Jon discuss how mainstream political commentary keeps missing the moment. Just this week, New Hampshire's Libertarian Party posted on X: "We openly support the assassination of basically every elected Democrat in New Hampshire." This language is extreme, but it's a direct line from the daily rhetoric coming out of the federal government and rightwing officials around the country. And yet, most pundits continue to cite "political polarization" as the problem we need to solve, not officials who incite violence against their neighbors. We also chat about how racism remains both ends and means for Tech bros and the billionaire class.

    Part 2:
We talk with Robert L. Borosage, progressive writer and activist.
We discuss the likelihood that Trump will use nuclear weapons in Iran, since there seems to be no way for him to declare victory and stop the war. Iran is a loss to the US, and Trump never wants to be perceived as a loser. Hegseth's actions at the Pentagon signal a willingness to support this.

  • Episode 1089: Arnie Arnesen Attitude October 15 2026
    Oct 15 2026

    Part 1:
We talk with Brian Porto, Professor Emeritus, Vermont Law and Graduate School.
We discuss the histories of Vermont and New Hampshire, since they are adjoining neighbors (twins) with very different government structures and outlooks. How did this come about?
    Part 2:
We talk with Wendell Young, President of United Food and Commercial Workers 1776, and with Hannah Wolf, Senior Staff Attorney for Farm STAND.
We discuss the disparity of how workers in the food industry (including farm and food processors) are being treated when compared to others covered by the NLRB. Their rights are circumscribed, so that they are treated as second-class workers, and do not have many of the rights of other workers. We focus specifically on Pennsylvania workers although similar workers are affected in other states.
