Issekai plus ultra!

I have to say the first three books were pretty good. Like star wwars though four, five, and six were so much better. This book seven though has got me even more hyped for this series then before. I will say though that I am starving for a best girl wifu for Jason. I'll say other authors of the LITRPG genre learn from this. The story flows so well in "He who fights with monsters" because it's not being inturupted by exaustive stat sheets padding the length of the book. It has really begun to kill my love for the LITRPG genre. It's not a big deal in the early books when the character sheets are small but in the later books they take like 5 min every time. I just have to say it's nice to have more story and less numbers. Unless all stats were set to 69 I don't get excited by numbers. Giggity
PS. Pay no mind to the people crying about filler. Whenever I see a bunch of people crying about the book being too wordy or fillers it means it's a good one. Usually that just means the book takes it's time and really develops the relationships between the characters so the events actually mean something.

Loved it

I love this installment in the series. I connected with Jason so deeply because of how the book was written.

A great turn around

I wasn't as pleased with books 5 and 6. Book seven turned it around nicely.

A 1-star book could be a very dry topic, story, crude, or someone preaching to the reader. I generally don't have 1-star books. I will return them and go my own way. My last three were from the same series, and I had hit a very dry spot in my listening.

A 2-star story would be a story that was phoned in by a writer that typically has done much better work. I have a couple of reviews from authors that just seemed to phone it in, one most recently from an author that decided to mix current politics into his novel. If I wanted that, I would just watch the news.

A 3 star review is where I start. It means I enjoyed the book. That I did not have a hard time following it (I have lost alot of my conversational hearing). That the story kept to a plot, the characters were not static, and the world built was plausable.

A 4 star review is something that I really enjoyed. It puts the author on my map to keep an eye out for. I go through 12-15 books a month. (audible is my primary source of entertainment. ) I will search for the author's works regularly, and seek out their stories for future purchases.

A 5 star review, These are not as rare as one would think. These are the books where the characters grow, learn, act according to their nature. Where the world is not only plausible but believable. Where there are economic systems, businesses, rules of law that make sense. Where the story is woven is progressed and told with caring and dedication. These books, series, authors, and narrators bring it all in a package.

So, when reading my reviews, if anyone does, that is how I judge the books.

Felt the story was a little rushed, but team biscuit is a win! Finally back to the monster hunting!

Highs and Lows

Had some of the best moments in series so far but the pacing had me feeling that everything was put on fast forward as soon as the book became established. Overall enjoyable and look forward to the next release.

Fabulous to the end

Almost all great. Only minor problem I could have done without was the repedative telling of spells.

Where's 8,9 & 10!!!!

Jason is a character that from the beginning I loved. His whole look on life is amazing. This book is finally showing that he's emotional vulnerable as powerful as he is.

This series is one of my all-time favorites!

This series has been absolutely incredible from the moment I decided to listen to a free sample of the first book. Fast forward to book 7, and I'm happy to say that Mr. Shirtaloon has exceeded my expectations with each and every book in this series. I have also enjoyed Heath Millah (Miller) as a narrator, who is a perfect fit for the Australian main character, Jason. He makes each character distinct and lifelike, with their own recognizable voices. All in all, for me, this story, and the performance are absolutely top-notch! If you're not already reading it listening to this story, why not? You will be glad that you did!

Laughs and Tears

Besides the fact that it ended all too soon, this was my favorite of the series. This book really took a dive into Jason's emotional state. This series has been know to make me laugh out loud in the past. This book brought some tears with the laughs. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next.

What a Great Story

I have enjoyed all 7 books in this series so far... For a LitRPG type book, it gives good depth to the characters, over the game-like lives they lead. This story also creates an entire reality of its own, unlike other LitRPG books that create a world inside our reality. I like the way the author uses humor, and yet deeper feelings of the protagonist are expounded on.
Great Story!! Can't wait for more!!
