Publisher's summary

Brotherhood and beer meets single mom and apple pie.

I am a riding contradiction. A scholar, a cynic, a brother, and a biker.

My name is Trunk. I’m smart enough to recognize the chip on my shoulder, and cautious enough to keep it right where it is.

I am a misguided romantic. A mom, a daughter, an agent, and a survivor.

My name is Jaimie. I’m strong enough to look after my family alone, and too stubborn to accept I don’t have to.

We make an odd couple - our differences obvious - but when hatred and danger threaten to destroy everything of value in our lives, we only get stronger.

Together.

Great start to a new series!

This book has it all- romance, great story, right amount of suspense, and refreshingly Freya. I also love how the book ties into other of Freya’s books and there was no part of this book that did not have me wanting more. Narration was spot on. Cannot wait for the next one.

Fantastic, I loved it!

Trunk, big, burley, lacking in social graces with a heart of gold and lust in his eyes for Jamie and Jamie alone. Jamie, divorced from an abusive chameleon with a horrific agenda and in hiding from his organization. Now a single parent, she’s just trying to make a good life for her and her young son. Freya Barker writes a riveting, timely story filled with rich, well developed characters and dialogue that not only rings true, but flows smoothly and effortlessly. The scenes are so descriptive that you can close your eyes and see the action as you listen to the marvelous narration. This story is disturbing and painful on so many levels, primarily because I am certain for some, this story is all to real. Thank you Freya Barker. Everyone needs to listen to this one. Five stars fabulous! I can’t wait for more in this series!

A suspenseful introduction to an MC romance

This is the first book in the arrow edge MC although if you read the rock point series you will have encountered Ouray the prezident and a few of the guys already not to mention some of the FBI/cops and their spouses. Ttrunk is the MC psychologist who falls for his sister Tallulah's best friend Jamie who is moving to Durango with her 11 month old baby boy. The story is suspenseful, funny, steamy and deals with the topic of racism and hate. Very powerful!

Outstanding!

Another amazing story from Freya Barker. This is the first book in her spin off of the Arrow’s Edge MC. Titus Maximus Rae “Trunk” is Tahlula’s brother who we met in Tracking Tahlula. Jamie is Tahlula’s assistant and has recently moved to Durango with her infant son to start a new life.

This story moved me so much. Truck and Jaimie had this undeniable chemistry but life experiences made Trunk a hard man with many demons. Jaimie had her own issues she was dealing with but saw something in Trunk that she knew she couldn’t walk away from. These two both faced adversity and judgment but found a way to trust in each other.

One of the things I love most about Freya’s writing style is the relationships with all the characters and the way her stories flow. Twists and turns, character depth and human emotions are all front and center in this book. I think this is one of her best to date.

I loved the narrators, i felt every one of Freya's characters emotions.

First in a spin-off series

This first in series picks up the story of the MC featured in Rock Point. A story I looked forward to reading as I love interconnected series where the stories for new characters feature the prior books characters. This delivered!

The narration was fantastic. Fits the characters and story well. An enjoyable listen.

There are hard things in this story. Triggers of sorts. The worst of human behavior. That part is hard. Part of the story but hard.

Fabulous listen

Loved the audia version of a favorite book. The narrative bring the characters to life, making me giggle as I listen. Trunk and Jamie carefully finding their way in a beautiful biracial relationship. The Arrow's Edge dealing with many things and trying to figure out who is causing all the havoc around them.
Will they find some peace and relaxation when the smoke clears?

FREYA BARKER HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!

I absolutely love this book! Trunk and Jaimie are the best couple!! They have there roller coaster and things go awry, but I wouldn’t miss a minute of the ride! I love that they are not the traditional couple and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. Can not wait for the next book on audio!

The narrators are amazing!

An Awesome & Riveting Romantic Suspense & Listen🎧

Freya Barker caught my attention with her fabulous “Northern Lights” series and she quickly became one of my favorite authors. I enjoy her writing style and the characters and storylines she creates, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. She is a master at bringing in actual life situations into her books, some serious, some that are hard to take about but shouldn’t be, and she shows you just that in her beautiful way with words. Arrow’s Edge MC is so much more than your typical motorcycle club, Trunk is one of its members and he does a lot for the club and the community, he is also a child psychologist and gets called out to help children in need. Though you would have known this by meeting him, he appears to be a badass biker with a serious alpha-tude, it goes to show that you can not judge a book by its cover or that first impressions are not always right. He had been in those kids’ shoes and knows what it is like to have a rough childhood, he also tries his best to reach them on their level. Jaime got out of a terrible relationship, she moved to a new town, with her toddler son, River along with her Mom. She works for Trunk’s sister Tahlula and they have met, but he would try to ignore her. There is an attraction between them despite their differences in personality and appearances, he fights that attraction but that changes when he sees someone else make a move on her. Their relationship starts off slow and on shaky grounds, both have a lot going on in their lives and when things get rough, it brings them closer together. Trunk was aces with her son River and once he warmed up to the idea of having a woman, he showed a whole other side of himself, his endearments to Jaimie were absolutely swoon worthy. A lot goes on in this fast paced and brilliantly plotted story, there is plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt and emotional moments and a hot romance. Freya Barker, thank you for another outstanding novel and for keeping it real.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Krystal Hammond and Chance Smolders are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. Both are talented voice artists and entertaining storytellers. It was a pleasure to listen to your performances and I am looking forward to hearing more of your work soon.

What’s with the weird noise at the end of some chapters?

Love this book, and the audio performers are good, but the quality is not. There’s a weird noise -sounds like an old audio cassette rewinding-at the end of some chapters. Very distracting. Needs some editing!
